Building Permits
Building permits, applications and requirements.
Before any construction or demolition takes place in the Village of Frobisher, a permit is required. Please review the checklist and application before beginning your project.
Building Permit Documents
Please allow time for processing before starting your project. A simple permit may take up to 4 weeks to process; larger projects may take longer.
Projects that do not require a development permit
- Fences
- Driveways and sidewalks
- Interior renovations that do not change the structure of the house, such as painting or installing new flooring
- Exterior renovations, such as shingles or siding
- Buildings smaller than 10 m², such as garden sheds, playhouses and greenhouses
- Windows and doors where the size of the opening does not change
- Decks less than 12 inches above grade
If your project is not listed above, it may require a permit. Contact the Village Office or a building official at Municode to discuss the requirements.
Fees for development permits can be found in the Village’s Fees & Charges Bylaw.
